Official Rules
1. Eligibility. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. VIVENDI UNIVERSAL GAMES, INC., AND FRONT SIGHT FIREARMS TRAINING INSTITUTE (collectively referred to as "SPONSOR(S)") ARE THE SPONSORS OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES ("SWEEPSTAKES"). THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS OPEN ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES (EXCLUDING THE STATES OF FLORIDA AND RHODE ISLAND) WHO ARE EIGHTEEN (18) YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AS OF MARCH 29, 2005 ("ENTRANTS"). IF YOU ARE NOT A RESIDENT OF THESE AREAS AND/OR YOU ARE NOT EIGHTEEN (18) YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO WIN A PRIZE. If you are under the legal age of majority in your state of residence (a "Minor"), one of your parents or legal guardians must submit a signed, written statement that they have read, understood and agree to these Sweepstakes rules with your entry, and that such agreement constitutes acceptance of these Sweepstakes rules on behalf of you and themselves. To be eligible to win a prize, entries must be completed and received by Sponsor in the format designated below, and the winning entrant, and any guest chosen by the winning entrant to accompany entrant to the Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, shall be required to pass the criminal background check that is required of all patrons of Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, as well as signa release of liability in favor of Front Sight Firearms Training Institute and Vivendi Universal Games, Inc. Directors, officers and employees of Sponsor, its parent, and any of their respective affiliate companies, subsidiaries, agents, professional advisors, advertising and promotional agencies, and immediate families of each are not eligible to win any prizes. All applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Offer void where prohibited. Limit one entry per household. In the event of any dispute, entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the owner of the e-mail address from which the e-mail was sent.
2. Disclaimer. All participating sponsors and any of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, professional advisors, employees and agencies will not be responsible for: (a) any late, lost, misrouted, garbled or distorted or damaged transmissions or entries; (b) telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet, or other computer- or communications-related malfunctions or failures; (c) any Sweepstakes disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of Sponsor; or (d) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Sweepstakes.
3. Sweepstakes Period. The Sweepstakes shall commence on March 29, 2005 at 12:01 AM Pacific StandardTime ("PST"), and end on May 9, 2005 at 11:59 PM PST ("Sweepstakes Period").
4. Prizes.
A. Grand Prize: One (1) qualified entrant ("Prize Winner") shall win a prize package consisting of three (3) days worth of personalized private training and resort access for Prize Winner and a guest of Prize Winner's choosing, at a date to be determined by the contest winners at the Front Sight Firearms Training Institute in Pahrump, Nevada, pending Front Sight availability. Total prize value is $1500.00.
B. Second Prize Winners: Ten (10) qualified entrants shall win one (1) DLink Model DGL-4300 Router, with an approximate retail value of $169.00.
Odds of winning a prize depend on number of eligible entries received. ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF ANY PRIZES ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PRIZE WINNER. All prizes will be awarded. Prize winners will be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility before they can receive their Prize.Thereafter, a Prize winner will be shipped the Prize within 30 days of the end of the Sweepstakes Period. Prizes returned as undeliverable or otherwise not claimed within fifteen (15) days after delivery of notification will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. Prizes are not transferable. No substitutions or exchanges (including for cash) of any prizes will be permitted, except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for any prize. Limit one prize per household or address. All prizes are awarded "AS IS" and WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied, including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
5. How to Enter. To enter, proceed to the following URL: http://promos.vugames.com/swat4 and access the "S.W.A.T. 4 Front Sight Sweepstakes" entry page. Fill in all required information including first name, last name, e-mail address and date of birth. Submit your completed on-line entry in accordance with the on-screen instructions during the Sweepstakes Period. All entries will become property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. False or deceptive entries or acts will render the entrant ineligible. In the event that you cannot enter the Sweepstakes electronically, send a postcard including your name, address, and age to the following address:

6. Determination of Prize Winners. Drawings for prizes will take place on May 19, 2005. Prize Winners will be notified by e-mail within fourteen (14) days thereafter. To claim a prize, Prize Winners should follow the instructions contained in their notification. Entrants can only win once during the Sweepstakes Period. 7. Collection of Information. The information collected to enter the Sweepstakes will be used to contact you in the event that you are chosen to receive a prize. Additionally, Sponsor will use this information for marketing purposes, and to contact you regarding offers, promotions and other sweepstakes related to this and/or other products distributed by Sponsor. As stated above, the Sweepstakes is not open to Minors under the age of eighteen (18) years. In the event that you are under the age of eighteen (18) years and submit an entry to Sponsor, Sponsor will delete, erase or destroy any and all personally identifiable information that is obtained from the entry.
8. General Release. By entering the Sweepstakes, you release, without limitation, Sponsor, participating sponsors and any of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agencies (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any liability whatsoever, and waive, without limitation, any and all claims and/or causes of action, related to any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Sweepstakes or delivery, misdelivery, acceptance, possession, use of or inability to use any prize and including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional, whether under a theory of contract, tort, including negligence, warranty or other theory.
9. Affidavit & Release. As a condition of being awarded any prize, Prize Winners will be required to execute, have notarized, and deliver to Sponsor an Affidavit of Eligibility, which includes an acceptance of these Official Rules and a release of liability. Failure to do so will result in disqualification of the Prize Winner and an alternate Prize Winner will be selected to receive the Prize. Additionally, the Prize Winner agrees that entry and/or acceptance of a Prize constitutes permission for the Sponsor and their agencies to use the Prize Winner's name, address (city and state) and/or likeness for advertising and trade purposes without further compensation, worldwide and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media, now known or hereafter devised, including without limitation Internet, unless prohibited by law.
10. Winners List; Rules Request: For a copy of the Prize Winners list, send a stamped, self-addressed, business-size envelope after May 15, 2005 and before December 31, 2005 to Sponsor at the following (Wes: I assume that these dates are wrong for a promotion that starts March 29, 2005 and ends May 9, 2005) address: " S.W.A.T. 4 Front Sight Sweepstakes -Winners List, c/o Vivendi Universal Games, 6060 Center Drive, 5th Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90045. To obtain a copy of these rules, send a stamped, self-addressed business-size envelope to Sponsor at the following address: " S.W.A.T. 4 Front Sight Sweepstakes -Rules Request, c/o Vivendi Universal Games, 6060 Center Drive, 5th Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90045. Residents of WA and VT may omit return postage. 11. Copyright Notice. 12. Miscellaneous. The Sweepstakes and these Official Rules will be governed, construed and interpreted under the laws of the United States. Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects. Sponsor reserves the right to change these Official Rules at any time, in its sole discretion, and to suspend or cancel the Sweepstakes or any entrant's participation in the Sweepstakes should viruses, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond Sponsor's control affect the administration, security or proper play of the Sweepstakes or Sponsor otherwise becomes, as determined in its sole discretion, incapable of running the Sweepstakes as planned. Entrants who violate these Official Rules, attempt to defraud or tamper with the operation of the Sweepstakes or engage in any conduct that is detrimental or unfair to Sponsor, the Sweepstakes or any other entrant, in each case as determined in Sponsor's sole discretion, are subject to disqualification from entry into the Sweepstakes and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Sponsor reserves the right to lock out persons whose eligibility is in question or who have been disqualified or are otherwise ineligible to enter the Sweepstakes. 13. Sweepstakes Sponsor. The sponsor of the Sweepstakes is Vivendi Universal Games, Inc., and Front Sight Firearms Training Institute.
